Talking about photography is extremely easy to get lost into this unlimited universe, that's the reason because we always decided to select ours talented photography into a limited photography's area, which is comprehensive of Fashion photography, aesthetics, beauty and some portrait one, but even on portrait ,always related to fashion environment. Even a such hard selection, photography still a such vast universe, so we need to go even deeper on our selection.
Of course, we are not just looking for the “best one”, in the end, who can judge about the “best one”, everyone has his own point of view about an image taste. We don't even believe that, photographers who work for Magazines are, just because of this, in fact, often on the magazines photo editors office, some times, works photo editors, not even able to hold a camera on their hands, that have no idea about the photography history, or art history, how could they be able to declare which photographer is good or not!!
We decided to propose to our audience professionals that we really appreciated, photographers able to create the "magic" into an image, able to make the subject to get alive, and the fashion items, start to breathe thanks to the photo, able, in the end, to create a photo who could stay forever, and not just for a week, photographers that are extremely easy recognizable by just looking at their works, and it doesn't matter if they work for Vogue or not, if we like we do publish them!!
We already feature some very talented artist such as Mert Alas or Desiree Mattsso or Txema Yeste, well now is time to introduce for our section, another very interesting professional photographer, Greg Kadel.
First element to recognize his work is the “graphic” comes out from any of his photo! To us his greatest talent is as studio work, but also outside he can give good performance without loosing his touch.
Having a look to his portfolio is very easy to understand that this professional is so comfortable, in any circumstance, taking “easy” fashion photos, and that's because his style is all based in what he can obtain better, just using his personal style, able to find and create graphic form and shapes on the photo itself, on the models or on the fashion item he is using for that particular shot.

This is not at all an easy task, it could .....seem easy, but is not at all easy, as photographer, I can testify that during a photo shooting is not always so easy to determinate which are the main lines to follows to emphasize the fashion clothes, so many elements to match, and first of all, the client's requests, that pretend the fashion items always become first and the main subject on the photos. Clients are always asking the photographers to put the dress as first on his stylistic choice, but than , they also pretend to have pictures come out " magic”, but again they don't care about the models, so how the magic can happen in this situation, where objects (fashion items) has to become Subjects!??? Well this is the magic that Greg Kadle is able to make it happen. He doesn't need much in terms of Lighting or scenography or special effect whatever on the frame, he just need some elements such as some hairs movement, some dress's shape, some little movement gave by the model and the game is done.
What we decided to propose on this feature, is a selection of just fashion editorials, shot for some of the most important Fashion Magazine around the world, such as: Vogue, Harper's Bazar, Numero, Grazie, and many others..we only have chosen on purpose chose editorials, because is here that magic on fashion photography happens. In effect are the editorials that gives the photographers, the chance to work with relevant professionals on this business such as: Make-up artist, hear-dresser, stylist and of course models, so that's also the point from where any clients should decide to pick up a professional photographer.
And, on his portfolio we decided to focus just and only on fashion's editorials, even if his portraits and his glamour shots are also very interesting, but we believe that any photographers has is arena where could be one of the best and, to us, his arena is : Girls with clothes on.....! A necked sensual girls body is always an easy way to "impress" audience, but here we are talking about fashion, and in this case audience are looking for something totally different, the audience is looking for a magic express through dresses.
Whatever he use the models, he never lose the connection with the fashion garments, he is always able to give the main attention to the dress, without sacrifice the models, that still be a key part of the photo, but just related to the fashion elements.
The model never become the main subject, the main subject still in any photo the fashion, but she, as well, never become a simple dummy, the model still alive and kicking into the situation, but just a little step behind the dress. That's the reason because some of the most important fashion brands, decided to work whit this professional for theirs campaigns or catalog. He is never over the line with any excess, he doesn't need “excess” in any way to impress the audience, all his photos are quite normal but at the same time so special, full of elegance, energies, style.
To us if a brand need to propose fashion that is going to be NEVER over the line, but that still having the magic inside, well he is the professional they need to hire.
